Also, not sure if the wire at hobby stores recommended below is already straight but I'll check that out next time I'm out and about. Looks like all of these will need to be manually straightened. So, is there a standard rigid uninsulated wire solution that I'm overlooking somewhere? I've searched google, I've searched google limited to reddit, etc., and am not finding anything obvious.Īlso, I read the AskElectronics Scope spreadsheet and this appears to be in the "Somewhat off topic" category but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere, so I apologize for the "somewhat" part but am hoping someone can point me to an obvious product solution I'm overlooking.Įdit: Okay, looks like I have several good answers - bus bar wire, uninsulated solid hookup wire, bare copper wire in rolls. I would also like to do some freeform circuit building and it would seem very useful for that as well. I ended up using leads clipped off of LEDs but I hate sacrificing the component, sometimes they're not long enough, they're limited in gauge, etc. I just got through building an LED cube and think I could have benefitted significantly from some uninsulated, rigid, solderable wire to make some of the connections.
